The Energy Drink is new in Mexico with eh exception of Red Bull who still enjoys 98% of the market. Other products like flavored waters are produced nationally and have not seen a lot of imports. This segment is up for grabs in Mexico.
Even products like Monster, Rock Star and Sobe are struggling to penetrate the market. You still see very small companies distributing the product in large cities like Tijuana. The largest distributors in Mexico do not have any “official” energy drink at the moment (besides Monster Energy Drink).
